summer...don't you love it. ...? there's something about the smell of sunscreen on the little dude that just makes me smile. the long days stream by, slowly unravelling into night.
as we were recounting our day, side by side in his sleeping cove, winding our way through the nightly ritual of song, and butterfly-starfish-nose-to-nose kisses, he places his finger on my nose and wiggles it.....he erupts with giggles as he announces, "look mama, your nose is getting dizzy!"

i do love it. but it's the fine line between toasty warm and heat entrenched horror.
maybe i only love it so far.
hey, i like it here.
I'm afraid to say that I can't wait for my kid to start talking, because I want him stop growing up so fast. But it's true. All these vignettes of children saying beautiful, funny, or even aggravating things just make me want to turn to my son to see if he's got any good ones too.
i do love a good ryder quote...
"Beep", says my nose.
How do I know that?
Because Little A announced it.
While grabbing it.
During church.
During the "bow your head and pray part".
Oh, and it has Turrets, because it says it repeatedly.
Last night I smelled sunscreen and pool on Amelia. There's something about children and sweat/summer that is pretty delightful.
As for your earlier blog about pros/cons, the same goes for people with partners: they are just switched.
How do you like Good in Bed?
Sweet boy. I love summer around here, too. There is something magical about the smell (even if not the FEEL) of sunscreen.
