seems there is no way of stopping summer from coming to a close. the calendar forces us to accept that a new season is creeping in. our yellow dog moves slower and slower and hears less and less. more radiation begins for my dad. a new school awaits for ryder. a new job will be found. a new house is now a home and the little dude is not so little any more. it's hard to let go of certain rituals, daily rhythms, familiar places and things and yet in order to make way for new energy we must. in honor of all the changes it felt right to update the look and feel here. a visual shift to match an internal one.
here's to a new season. new rituals.
here's to the path we're on, trusting it will unfold as it should and all will be OK.
here's to the little dude who makes his way with caution and trust. who sees things and requires things in a way that isn't always understood by those around him. yet always, always it is with his true nature...love.
here's to the days in the ocean, swimming pools, sandy toes, melty ice cream treats, van sleeping and mountain air. thanks for the magic moments summer, til next time...

I like the new look B! It's always bittersweet to say goodbye to summer. I am feeling nostalgic about it too. Here's to fun fall and all the great things that come with it!
I like the new look too! Love these pictures. The shot on the 'tubes with your mom and Ryder is so sweet. Actually, all of them are but that one stuck out. Awesome editing too. You're getting good.
So sad summer is ending. So excited for new adventures though. Good luck for your dad. Sad about Katie M. Dogs have a way of becoming 100 percent family and it's tough to see them get old.
