freely running, walking, splashing, digging with his nose touching the sand, climbing and chasing "skippyjon jones" (poor little chiwawa) he was in a pure state of delight -- me too. sitting in the grass, watching him go back and forth, a mere observer for the 2 hours this went on. it made me realize how important it is to take care of our tiny spaces. we need to continue (and in fact -- do better) to nourish one another, grow native/medicinal plants, buy from those that do, take time to hear the earth's song, have gratitude, recognize how small and insignificant we are amongst such profound worldly beauty.
reach within your heart and harmonize the qualities within yourself, so you can spread that energy to all living things. all my relations -- a consciousness surrounding human interactions with animals, plants, and minerals, based on an ethic of mutual respect, and a concept of interspecies equality. we are all related. we are one. together we can become the peace, balance and serenity we all seek.Look inside............you are the seed already sewn from the earth..........do your part to cultivate that.

Iknow what you mean I had so much fun watching both of the boys running on the beach, especially when they climbed up the lifeguard's tower, what a feat and glad to share it with our good, good friends.
We've spent the last 2 evenings at the beach, too, and I just remarked to T tonight, as I gazed across the water to the mountains, "can you even believe that we live in this beautiful place? Where we can drive to the beach and gaze upon the miracle of those mountains? Unbelievable!" We must do better to maintain these places for our children and their children.
