there was so much space i cut me a piece with some fine wine
it brought peace to my mind in the summertime...
and it rolled
the paddlers return...2 weeks earlier than planned. fortunate conditions surrounded them as they worked their way 500 miles around the kenai in a just 30 days. seriously. 30 days. amazing. i had trouble moving smoothly after just 1 short play-day in a kayak last week.
seattle's summer had been waiting. it literally hit just as the days to your return were imminent. the time that was moving slow, picked up and went by quickly.
suddenly a 4runner on bagley...smiles.
boy stepping out of it...huge exhale.
deep inhale.
it's you.
so much i was holding in. some leeked out here and there during the space apart, but the release of emotion, even energy upon your return tells me we can live and enjoy our own moments while keeping something, someone intertwined, close and quiet in our thoughts, our hearts.
the first 48 hours...imprinted. voices return to the loft. filling the air, filling my heart. the little dude's sheer delight, and deep connection to this, to you, to us, so visible.
the next 48 already melting into a beautiful sunny, beachy, water-filled blur.

Hooray, my friend. What a great start to my day, reading about this joy of yours. xoxo
Breathing YOUR happiness in, my love!
My arms hurt just thinking of it.
But my smile is from ear to ear for you.
